The 4-Part Script Formula

  1. Hook (3 seconds) - Grab attention
  2. Value (20 seconds) - What's in it for them
  3. Details (20 seconds) - Specific information
  4. Call-to-Action (7 seconds) - What to do next

Total: 50 seconds (perfect length)

Part 1: The Hook (First 3 Seconds)

Your opening determines if people keep listening. Make it count.

Bad Hooks:

  • "Um, hi, thanks for scanning..."
  • "Welcome to our business..."
  • "This is a message about..."

Good Hooks:

  • "FLASH SALE! 50% off for 2 hours!"
  • "This house just sold for $50,000 over asking!"
  • "You're the first to hear this new song!"
  • "Free gift inside—keep listening!"

Hook Templates:

  • Question: "Want to know the secret to [benefit]?"
  • Urgency: "Only [number] left in stock!"
  • Exclusivity: "VIP access starts now!"
  • Surprise: "You just unlocked a hidden discount!"
  • Direct: "Here's exactly how to [achieve goal]"

Part 2: The Value (20 Seconds)

Explain what's in it for them. Focus on benefits, not features.

Features vs. Benefits:

Feature: "This mattress has memory foam" Benefit: "Wake up without back pain"

Feature: "3-bedroom, 2-bath house" Benefit: "Perfect for growing families"

Feature: "Professional AI voice" Benefit: "Sound like a radio commercial for $5"

Value Statement Templates:

  • "This [product] helps you [achieve result] without [common problem]"
  • "Get [desired outcome] in just [timeframe]"
  • "Save [money/time] while [getting benefit]"
  • "Perfect for [specific person] who wants [specific result]"

Part 3: The Details (20 Seconds)

Now provide specific information. Use numbers, facts, and proof.

What to Include:

  • Pricing: "$29.99" not "affordable"
  • Specs: "1,200 square feet" not "spacious"
  • Social proof: "500+ customers" not "many people"
  • Timeframe: "Ships in 2 days" not "fast shipping"
  • Guarantees: "30-day money-back" not "risk-free"

Details Example:

"This coffee maker brews a perfect cup in 3 minutes. Holds 12 cups, has a programmable timer so coffee's ready when you wake up, and it's $79—normally $129. Over 1,200 five-star reviews. Includes a permanent filter so you never buy paper filters again."

Part 4: Call-to-Action (7 Seconds)

Tell them exactly what to do next. One action only.

Bad CTAs:

  • "Check out our website or call us or visit the store or..."
  • "Let us know if you're interested"
  • "Thanks for listening!" (no action)

Good CTAs:

  • "Text 'SAVE10' to 555-0123 for your discount code"
  • "Visit BedroomFurniture.com to order before they sell out"
  • "Call me at 555-0199 to schedule your showing"
  • "Show this code at checkout for 20% off"

CTA Templates:

  • "Text [keyword] to [number]"
  • "Visit [website] and use code [code]"
  • "Call [number] and mention this QR code"
  • "Show this at checkout for [offer]"
  • "Scan the next QR code to [next step]"

Script Writing Tips

Use "You" Not "We"

Bad: "We offer premium services" Good: "You get premium service"

Be Conversational

Bad: "Our establishment provides" Good: "We've got"

Add Personality

Boring: "This product is good" Better: "This thing is a game-changer!"

Create Urgency

Weak: "Available now" Strong: "Only 5 left—grab yours today!"

Paint a Picture

Bland: "Nice house" Vivid: "Imagine Sunday mornings in this sun-filled kitchen"

Common Script Mistakes

  • ❌ Too long (over 60 seconds)
  • ❌ Weak opening that doesn't grab attention
  • ❌ Talking about yourself instead of customer benefits
  • ❌ No clear call-to-action
  • ❌ Multiple CTAs that confuse people
  • ❌ Using jargon or technical terms
  • ❌ Sounding like you're reading a script

Testing Your Script

Before recording, ask:

  1. Would I listen to this all the way through?
  2. Is the benefit crystal clear?
  3. Did I include specific numbers/facts?
  4. Is there ONE clear next step?
  5. Does it sound natural when read aloud?
